The London Vertigo, Bray One-Act Festival 2013

Square One's entry to 2013's Bray One-Act Theatre Festival is The London Vertigo by Brian Friel, directed by Caroline Hill.

This is Brian Friel's 1992 adaptation of Charles Macklin's 1762 play 'The Irish Fine Lady' or 'The True Born Irishman' which reflects Macklin's own incredible metamorphosis from a Gaelic-speaking Donegal man into a hugely successful London playwright. The London Vertigo tells the comic and farcical story of Mrs O`Doherty/Diggerty who must reform her behaviour by dropping her newly acquired Angophile habits and language and become once again 'the obedient Irish Mrs.O'Doherty'.

The performance is in The Mermaid Theatre on the opening night of Bray One Act Festival - Tuesday January 22nd. 2013
